Once you get comfortable solving 8 & 7 kyu katas, try pushing yourself with. Codewars and sites like them can be a fun way to practice your algorithm skills, but it's not really a way to learn programming. For one thing, it doesn't teach; It just gives you problems to solve. Both leetcode and codewars help you get a better understanding of data structures, algorithms, and other language nuances. If that's what you're after, both should be good. I used to use hackerrank but then tried out codewars and i find it much more fun to use and for some reason when i used hackerrank i just found it overall more stressful.
